Chip Storie serves as Precision Machining Advisor of Worl Precision, where he provides industry expertise for precision machining advisory across the aerospace & defense precision machining platform. He focuses on oversight, supporting CEO, M&A, strategic growth, and integration with supply chain resilience & relations for the leadership and operations.
Chip brings more than 30 years of executive leadership across CNC machining, metal-cutting systems, automation, and advanced manufacturing. He has held CEO, President, Executive Vice President, and General Manager roles with full P&L responsibility, leading machining and manufacturing businesses up to approximately $160M in revenue and managing complex, multi-site operations across the U.S. and Europe.
He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Ingersoll Machine Tools, a CNC machining and automation company serving aerospace and defense customers, where he led cross-border integration following the merger of Ingersoll and Innse Berardi (Italy). As President of the Camozzi Machine Tools Division, he drove revenue growth, profitability expansion, aftermarket development, and product innovation while operating within highly capital-intensive, precision manufacturing environments.
Earlier in his career, Chip held senior executive roles at MAG / Cincinnati Machine (formerly Cincinnati Milacron) and Fives Machining Systems, where he led metal-cutting and composites automation businesses with full P&L ownership. He was directly involved in the sale of MAG IAS to Fives, supporting transaction execution, value positioning, and post-close integration planning while delivering operational turnaround and sustained EBITDA improvement.
Chip also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tyrolit North America, where he executed a turnaround through acquisition and consolidation, growing the business to approximately $160M in revenue (abrasives manufacturing) and integrating multi-site operations across the U.S. and Canada. While not CNC machining, this role further deepened his experience in industrial manufacturing integration, Lean transformation, and capital discipline.
He brings deep experience in mergers, acquisitions, and integration, including diligence support, transaction execution, cross-border mergers, ERP and operational restructuring, Lean and Six Sigma deployment, and leadership realignment. His background includes board service with the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and advisory work with private equity firms and acquisition partners focused on scaling manufacturing platforms.
